In an unbelievable Ted talk, Phil Hansen explains about how an unfavorable tremor in his hand transformed his life. He learned that “we need to first be limited in order to become limitless” and to “look at limitations as a source of creativity”. He discusses how we need to “learn to let go of outcomes, failures, and imperfections” in order to be able to create inspiring art that touches the world. He embraces his limitations every day, something that everyone would be better off doing. Personally, my limitation is the fear of failure and imperfection. Constant approval from those around has impeded my ability to create beautiful work because of the fear of judgment.
